Reasons Why Fail to Create Bot

1. Users Fail to Receive a Registration Code

There are two possible reasons why you haven't received a code for registering your WhatsApp Business API client. First, your phone number is associated with a non-commercial account (WhatsApp or WhatsApp for Business for users). Second, you have already connected this number to the WhatsApp Business API through another provider.

Uninstalling the app from your device does not mean you've deleted your WhatsApp account. To delete your account, follow these steps:

  1. Open the WhatsApp app.
  2. Go to “Settings” > “Account” and click Delete My Account.
  3. Enter your phone number in international format and click Delete my account.

Please note that deleting an account is an irreversible action and you will lose all history of chats.

To make sure that the phone number is no longer associated with an existing account, follow the link https://wa.me/62123456789 (where "62123456789" is your phone number in international format) and click Start chatting. If this number is ready for connection, you'll see a "Phone number shared via URL is invalid" error message when clicking on the link in the button.

In some cases, WhatsApp may not display an error. Another way to check if the phone number is unlinked is to send a message to it. If you see the message status "Sent" (one tick) or "Delivered" (two ticks), then your number is already linked to a non-commercial account.
